TIMBER

Another branch of Bailey Waste Recycling Ltd., is the largest fully operational recycling plant exclusively for timber in the country. This service, which began just four years ago, has already reached a level of over 250 tonnes per week.

This plant has large machinery that chips the timber into small parts and removes any metal. The manufactured wood-chip is then supplied as a substitute fibre to chipboard manufacturers in Ireland. Any metal content (e.g. nails) extracted during the chipping process is also recycled.

All types of timber can be processed: scrap pallets, packing cases, floorboards, shuttering, demolition timber, joinery off-cuts, trees, even old timber boats.
